We’re cautiously really, really, really excited. We don’t like debt (who does?) and didn’t want to have a huge mortgage on something where we’re all up in our neighbors’ business, surrounded by crown molding and granite, and having to make adjustments for accessibility. We’d much rather have a small mortgage on something with breathing room, that’s got the basics, and is as accessible as possible for Eva and Audrey.
These are the main idea pictures. The first is from bosworthhodemaker.com and the second is “bright barn” from kaplanthompson.com

That plus our before-mentioned limitations yielded this:
For the layout, we wanted an open living area to be easily maneuvered by a rolling stander or wheelchair. We also wanted at least two bedrooms on the first floor. And who knows how many kids we’ll end up with so we wanted at least four bedrooms total with bunk spaces.
Daniel laughed at my Don’t Steal Me text and you can too. But you guys, our designer did such an awesome job I can’t help but feel protective of this intellectual property.
And for the design and decor (or really, lack thereof), we are wanting something very minimal and Scandinavian/Farm/Industrial. Kinda like this.
